The Somers General first opened in 1927 by Ray Stone and family as Boulevard Cafe & Post Office Store. The heart of this lovely old building has always been community.

Over the decades the store has had several identities, from your traditional milk bar and takeaway fish and chips to an eclectic friendly cafe and store. The Somers General is now run by locals Dean and Zoe, with a vision of once again creating a community hub, with a cafe serving classic, nourishing dishes and a store selling local goods and artisan wares.
